Happiness, it hurt like a train on a track

The other day while I was busy mopping the floors at work, I accidentally eavesdropped on a conversation that took place between a group of young adults who are polly in their early 20s or so.

Apparently, their conversation revolved around the topic of happiness. I couldn't hear exactly what they were saying but the words that rolled out of their mouths were words of comfort to their friend - a girl who had her head hung low throughout the whole conversation. She must have been crying I presume.

I understand what she must have been going through. Nobody wants to be seen in public, crying her eyeballs out. but really, times like that, emotions clouds your ability to think and in the end, all you can do is just...feel.

and like me, crying her eyeballs out must have been her remedy for heartaches too. because when she left, she looked relieved - like as if the weight of the world that she once carried on her shoulders is gone.
